Implication
Collect evidence and build cases against suspects to convince a jury of their peers to convict. Will you search hard for the real criminal? Or will you point the finger at someone else for your own benefit?
What comes first? Money? Happiness? Reputation? Justice? Play through each case to find out what becomes of you, your career, and your community.
This is my first ever game jam, and actually my first ever game release. I've learned a lot so far and hope you enjoy playing the game. Don't bother turning your speakers on - audio's still on my list of things to learn - and there's no saving your game yet.
If you're seeing this, then I (finally) did a good job of keeping a small scope. My original idea, which I may come to in an overhaul post-jam, was to have a large city with randomised crimes to solve and for the player to build their career (and reputation) across a series of, say, 10 crimes. Once I started planning how different motivations would affect the crimes and evidence you could collect, I realised I had massively overscoped and needed to pare the idea down to a more authored experience. I killed many darlings and ended up with a self-contained experience that I'm proud of as my first released project.

Superb. Just superb.
I keep coming back to try pinning the case on each of the different suspects, and to truly get to the bottom of each case.
I’m also constantly discovering new things about how the game works, and it blows my mind. Sincerely well done : )
